An exceptional Rosé champagne unveiled in a box with an innovative design

The property

An emblematic reference of the great names of Champagne, Maison Veuve Clicquot has built its reputation since its creation in 1772 thanks to a woman: Madame Clicquot. In a few years and at the end of the 18th century, Madame Clicquot will establish herself as "The great lady of Champagne" and will be at the origin of the invention of the riddling table with the motto "only one quality, the very first". World-renowned, the Champagne Veuve Clicquot House stands out with its bottles recognizable at first glance and adorned with a yellow label, inspired by the rising sun, with cuvées in a vinous style.

The vineyard

Owner of 390 hectares, Maison Veuve Clicquot has one of the largest vineyards in Champagne. This vineyard is also exceptional for its quality as it is spread over 12 of the 17 Grands Crus and 20 of the 44 Premiers Crus of Champagne.

The wine

La Grande Dame pays tribute to Madame Clicquot, who was nicknamed "The Great Lady of Champagne". Known for her famous pioneering spirit, Madame Clicquot is the origin of the first vintage champagne in 1810 and the first blended rosé champagne in 1818.

On the occasion of the bicentenary of Maison Veuve Clicquot, this vintage champagne 2015 marks a new page in the history of this cuvée, through a collaboration with the artist Paola Paronetto, the first artist to be entrusted with the design of the La Grande Dame Rosé box. Reinterpreting old techniques to make something new and singular, this creator reveals with talent and sensitivity works at the crossroads of utility objects and sculpture. Her work combines novelty, stylistic innovation and the traditions of ancient art with those of pottery.

"Through my works, I always seek a balance between joy and creativity. My connection with nature constantly inspires me to look towards a better future and this collaboration with such an iconic House allows me to explore new horizons. For this new edition of La Grande Dame, I have created a range of six nuanced colors and a graphic light play to show them in their best light." Paola Paronetto
