Description
The balance and structure of a Brunello di Montalcino red wine
The estate
San Felice is a property in Tuscany, Italy. Driven by the constant evolution of its know-how, this estate has been successful for decades in showcasing its terroir through the typicity of its Tuscan wines.
The vineyard
Campogiovanni 2019 is a Brunello di Montalcino red wine from a 65-hectare vineyard. Located on the southeast slope of Montalcino, these vines, pruned in cordon, are cultivated on silty-sandy soils alternating with clay and resting on limestone marls.
Vinification and aging
After a maceration of 20 days, the musts undergo malolactic fermentation in stainless steel tanks. The wine is then aged for 36 months in oak barrels from the Slavonian forest. Following bottling, the wine undergoes an additional 12 months of aging before it is marketed.
Blend
Sangiovese (100%)
